Point Out the Bounce!

If you’re looking for a fun, and I mean really fun, workout, I would highly recommend trying a bellicon workout. Whoever thought of this idea is genius. It takes the fun of trampolining and turns it into a challenging hour long workout. There are a number of studios that have started offering classes which is great because it allows you to try out the workout without having to commit to a gym or a package right away.

The trampoline workouts do require a bit of coordination- you’re basically bouncing and dancing on a trampoline simultaneously. Not to be discouraged if you’re not the best dancer, there are plenty of moves and modifications shown throughout the class so you won’t be miss out on any of the fun!

These workouts are also amazing for cardio and endurance. I thought I was in pretty good shape going into the class, but was quickly shown that my endurance wasn’t what I thought it would be. They end the class off with 2-3 toning songs, so your abs and arms also feel fantastic when you’re done. Studio House of Bounce (my bellicon faves) have the “bounce burpee” as part of one of the final routines. There’s no hidden meaning there- you’re doing burpees on a trampoline and you’ll feel both amazing and dead when they’re done.

My personal favourite is Bounce Party at Studio House of Bounce. You’re jamming for an hour to the songs of Beyonce, Justin Bieber and even the Backstreet Boys! You leave feeling empowered and full of bounce energy!

First class is free too- but you’ll definitely go back for more!
